Shining like a star!
What to expect from the Kinovelliste blog?

As an artist of the 7th art I find that filmmakers of all categories are unfortunately still left in the shadow of Hollywood.

One only has to look at movie news (newspapers, websites, blogs, etc.) to see that the majority of these news come from major studios: News releases, interviews, reviews or the latest crisp of gossips/scandals from these rich and famous unless you search for yourself, here and there, for a few scattered articles on independent cinema and others.

And yet it was by joining the Kino movement that I realized that there was an audience that liked another style of cinema that took them out of these big productions for a shorter, more original, more daring and a less censored style.

Despite everything, we can also notice that there are more and more festivals dedicated to short and medium films, in addition to having found a place in several international film festivals, and that cinemas are showing short films before official projections.

The fact remains that additional visibility is not unnecessary and could be beneficial to the promotion of short and medium-length film and their filmmakers. This will be Kinovelliste’s mission to bring you a critical look at amateur, kinoïte, independent cinema, etc. and the reality of the obstacles that filmmakers must overcome in order to deliver their stories, documentaries or creativity to an already acquired audience and to open the minds of a new audience..

I truly believe that it is time for filmmakers, short and medium films and their audiences to step out of the shadows of Hollywood and I hope that through this blog I can help filmmakers and their works to shine like a fiery star in this vast universe that is cinema.
